Anyway, Coleman American is NOT the moving company you want to trust to protect and transport your belongings nor have as the crew when you move into a new place. Your neighbors are likely going to judge you based on the crew's lack of tact and respect for other residents.
This company moved a tenant out of a building at 501 Burke Dr. Hinesville, GA late into the evening and early hours (past midnight) on 10-11 April. Normally, that could be considered kind of movers to work such late hours, but not this time. They were loud, yelled up and down to each other from the balcony apartment down to the truck in the parking lot below and constantly made loud noise while rolling dollies up and down the ramp, throwing boxes in the truck, and hammering on wood loudly. They were likely bracing and blocking crates after loading them, but they filled three crates and seemed to decided that every single inch of wood on wood needed a nail in it. After getting fed up around 0030, a resident hollered out at them to knock it off because they were way past the noise curfew time and the moving crew began laughing. They started making jokes about how they'd been threatened before with people calling the cops and started banging louder. They took off shortly after, but not without taking the time to honk the truck horn twice. Seriously? What kind of people does this company employee? Is not about cops bring called, it's about being considerate neighbors. Though the tenants were probably going through some sort of situation that caused them to have to move in the middle of the night, this company could have used a little more respect and consideration for the other residents that actually did have to work in the morning. It's a military town and every resident in that complex is military. Therefore, they all wake up super early and keeping us all up until 1am for the benefit of one resident was just plain rude.
The movers were polite, helpful, and fast. They went above and beyond!
Today, I had the pleasure of the awesome duo Craig and Greg move my things for my PCS move. They were absolutely amazing! They called ahead of time to let me know they would be here soon and when they showed up, they got straight to work. They were diligent and wasted no time at all. Craig and Greg were very understanding in the care of a few sensitive items and did their best to accommodate our requests with no problems (other than talking trash about me wanting them to take special care of my shoes and shoe boxes! haha). They answered any questions I may have had about the packing very professionally and I could tell they were seasoned at their jobs. I appreciated them so much and thank you, Coleman, for employing such amazing workers!
I had an excellent experience! My Move coordinator was extremely competent and efficient. My mover, Scott, was the BEST. He made sure all my things were packed and loaded properly. Scott was very easy to work with and he was very kind and considerate. I have already recommended Coleman and Allied to others and I will continue to recommend them. Best MOVE EVER!
I've only used this company once myself through military contract and they are already on my "do not use vendor" list because they'd destroyed everything I owned. The crates busted open during transport and it had rained several times during the cross-country trip. By the time my items arrived three weeks later (a three day drive and then sitting at a warehouse or something for no real reason at all since I had an address already), the items were water-damaged and covered in mold. Of course, this took months of arguing before anybody took responsibility. This included a false mold test lab result being sent to me with the mattress still in the same plastic and cardboard they'd shipped it in originally. Who does that?? Just replace the mattress or actually send it to a lab for mold analysis! Why make up a fake report when the mattress is very obviously moldy and mildewy??
Great moving experience! We moved from SC to MT with Allied. Out driver, Kevin was awesome! We did most of the packing ourselves, but left larger and fragile items to their experts. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The unloaders were professional and hard working. I highly recommend Allied! From the beginning of the process to the end they were wonderful to work with. They kept in touch at all times and the price was very fair. Cannot recommend them enough!
